Ballroom Dancing Classes Perth

Dances are easy to learn and lots of fun

As you progress you will add Samba and Social Tango to your repertoire and at advanced level, Viennese Waltz and New Vogue sequence dances are also taught. These dances move in an anticlockwise direction around the dance floor. They’re easy to learn and lots of fun!

In each of the classes Perth you will work on one standard Ballroom and one Latin American dance.

Lots of time to practice:

There’s lots of time to practice what you have learned over three weeks, before changing to the next two dances.

You will learn how to recognize dances by listening to the rhythm of the music. The basic patterns and sequences will get you started so that you will feel confident to use them in a social situation.

When you have mastered the material covered in the beginners classes, you will be ready to move to Improvers level.

It is an excellent idea to attend classes with a dance partner so that you can practice your steps in between lessons. However, it’s not essential as helpers are available in most classes, so there should always be someone to dance with.

You are always assured of lots of attention and support.

What to wear at the Ballroom Dancing Classes Perth:

Sturdy and comfortable closed or open toe shoes with a low heel for ladies and for gentlemen, preferably shoes without rubber soles.

Although not essential, it is recommended that you purchase the correct footwear in due course. Dance shoes have suede on the soles that glide easily on the floor. Please ask Kim for advice before purchasing shoes.

Smart casual clothing that allows you to move freely is fine. There’s no need to dress up for classes!

What to bring:

It is a good idea to bring your own water bottle to class, dance shoes if you have them and plenty of enthusiasm.
